Audition Requirements
Company Members must audition EACH season for placement, which is not guaranteed.
Prepaid Audition Fee of $10/Company with Cash, Check or Charge. Pay-as-You-Go Audition Fee is $18/Company CASH ONLY.
Prepare and memorize an age-appropriate, one-minute monologue (be prepared to introduce yourself & the piece you are performing).
Re-directs may be given during the audition to see how student takes direction.
Rising High School Seniors who are NOT CURRENTLY RISPA COMPANY MEMBERS may require an additional audition/approval.
We are looking for hard-working, dedicated, and passionate students for our Company.

Training & Class Requirements
1-week Summer Intensive Workshop: June 3-7 OR July 15-19... Times for the workshops are the same for both weeks. (See below.) (ElementarySchool: M-Th 9:00-12:30/ F 9:00-10:30; Middle School: M-Th 1:00-4:30/ F 11:30-1:00; High School: M-Th 5:00-8:30/ F 2:00-3:30)
1-hour Acting Company class per week during season (August-May)
1-hour Acting technique class per week and possibly a 1-hour dance technique class will also be required.
IN TOTAL: Acting Company is a 2-hour minimum weekly commitment. Technique classes will be assigned.
Class Attire Requirements
Age-appropriate monologue book
White binder/notebook with lined paper and pencil
Comfortable street clothes... must be able to move. (no dresses or skirts)
Comfortable shoes. (no heels, “crocs” or flip flops)
Black RISPA Company Jacket & Company T-shirt (Purchase through RISPA only)
RISPA Company duel bag (optional)
Long hair must be pulled back out of your face
Performance Attire Requirements
ALL:
Students will be required to purchase specific clothing based on individual scenes and simple props as needed.
Nails must be a natural color for performances. Hair, weaves and extensions must be a natural color as well. Highlights are acceptable, but please no extreme colors (i.e. green, blue, purple, pink etc).
Performance Commitment
Acting Company Show for the Winter Season in December (2-4 performances)
Access Broadway Competition (between late Feb./early March)
Acting Company Spring Show in April (2-4 performances)
There will be other opportunities to perform during the year, but these will not be mandatory
