RISPA’s Open Classes offer an exciting and inclusive way for performers of all levels to learn, grow, and have fun—no audition required! These recreational classes provide a supportive environment to explore a variety of dance styles, vocal techniques, acting methods and even aerial arts and acrobatics. At the end of the season, students have the opportunity to shine in a high-energy performance that showcases their hard work and progress. Whether you're just starting out or looking to sharpen your skills, RISPA’s Open Classes are the perfect place to dance and thrive.

Company Classes

Audition each season

RISPA’s Award-Winning Company program is designed for passionate, dedicated performers ready to take their training to the next level. Admission is by audition only, and Company classes are offered in Acro, Acting, Ballet, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Jazz, Lyrical, Musical Theatre, Tap, and Voice. As a RISPA Company Member, students have the exciting opportunity to compete at Access Broadway, where RISPA has been honored multiple times with top awards including Best Studio Director, Best Dance School, and Best Musical Theatre School in the prestigious Diva Division—both Regionally and Nationally.

Open Acting Classes

At RISPA, our Acting classes are designed to help students shine—whether it’s under the bright lights of a stage or in front of the camera. We offer two exciting tracks: On-Camera Acting and Acting for the Stage.​

​No matter which path you choose, RISPA’s Acting classes help you build confidence, craft, and the skills to stand out in the spotlight.

On-Camera Acting

On-Camera Acting is perfect for students who dream of seeing themselves on the big screen. This class focuses on the unique techniques needed for film and television, including camera awareness, facial expressions, scene study, and audition prep for screen roles.

Acting for the Stage

Acting for the Stage teaches students the fundamentals of live theatre, including vocal projection, physicality, stage presence, emotional connection, character development and audition prep—all essential tools for captivating an audience in a theatrical performance.

Open Voice Classes

RISPA offers two dynamic vocal training options: Group Voice Classes and Private Vocal Coaching. RISPA’s vocal training program is designed to develop confident, skilled, and expressive performers. With a strong emphasis on healthy technique, musicality, and artistry, students are guided by experienced instructors who tailor their approach to support each singer’s growth. Whether preparing for the stage, auditions, or personal enrichment, RISPA’s voice program fosters discipline, creativity, and a lifelong love of singing in a positive and inspiring environment.

Group Voice

RISPA’s Group Voice class helps students build strong vocal technique in a fun, supportive setting. Singers learn proper breath control, pitch, tone, diction, and harmony while exploring a variety of musical styles. The class also focuses on performance skills, stage presence, and confidence-building through group songs and occasional solos. Perfect for all experience levels!

Private Vocal Coaching

Private vocal lessons at RISPA are tailored one-on-one sessions designed to meet each student’s unique goals and skill level. Lessons focus on vocal technique, range, tone, control, and performance. Scheduling is arranged directly between the student and vocal coach, and is not something you register online for. Please call the front desk for further information.

Taught by professional instructors in a supportive environment, classes focus on technique, creativity, and performance. Whether you're a beginner, a seasoned dancer, or an adult looking to move and have fun, RISPA provides high-quality training that inspires confidence, discipline, and a passion for the art of dance.

Company Classes

Acro

Acro Dance is a style of dance that combines classical dance technique with precision acrobatic elements. Seamlessly blends dance and acrobatics together.

Contemporary

Contemporary is all about self-expression, storytelling and freedom of movement. It pulls from traditional dance styles such as ballet and jazz.

Lyrical

A contemporary style of dance that’s based on ballet technique. Lyrical focuses on the expression of strong emotion to tell a story.

Tech Classes

Our Ballet and Jazz Tech Classes focus on developing and refining a dancer's fundamental skills.  The goal is to build a strong technical foundation for more advanced dance performance.

Acting

Acting Company is a performing Company designed to develop students in acting for live, theatrical performances.  The course covers monologue techniques, character study, improvisation, physicality, voice work, and more!

Hip Hop

Hip Hop is a fun and energetic, freestyle form of dance that evolved from break dancing, street dancing, urban, and jazz. It has become one of the most popular forms of dance in existence today! All Hip Hop classes at RISPA are taught and performed with positive music.

Musical Theatre

Our musical theatre classes incorporate elements of dance, acting and self-expression, voice, and performing techniques. In this class, our students learn what it would be like to be a star on Broadway.

Voice

In these classes, you will become a more experienced singer, learn harmonies and practice blending vocally with a group. Company Voice will perform a mid-season show and also compete at a Competition as a group.

Ballet

Ballet is a classical form of dance that provides a strong and solid technical base for all other forms of dance. These classes are very technical and consist of barre, center floor, and progressions across the floor. Ballet Company performs a full length production mid-season and also competes.

Jazz

Jazz is a fun and upbeat style of dance that stems from ballet. It combines today's stylish moves with energetic, popular music. In our jazz classes, we focus on core strength, flexibility, and technique.

Tap

Tap is a truly American style of dance that challenges students to integrate rhythmic patterns using their feet as an instrument. Our tap classes focus on beat, timing, rhythm, and coordination.
