Hip Hop and Contemporary
Ryann Leak is from Atlanta, Georgia, and is currently attending Kennesaw State University pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance, with a concentration in Modern Dance, and a minor in Nutritional Science. Ryann began training at the age of seven at the Renaissance International School of Performing Arts (RISPA), primarily focusing on the Hip Hop style. Later, she auditioned and was accepted as a Company member, expanding her dance training and knowledge to include the styles of Jazz and Musical Theater. At the beginning of 2020, Ryann was accepted into Kennesaw State University’s Dance program where she continues to extensively train in Modern, under the direction of Lisa K. Lock and Andrea Knowlton. But she also strives to deepen her knowledge in the Contemporary, Ballet, Tap, and Jazz dance genres. While being a part of the KSU Dance program, Ryann currently serves as a member of the Dance Company and the Dance Honor Society where she holds the role of President. Ryann has been fortunate to work with artists such as Annalee Traylor, Jamal White, Caitlin Gray, and Nicola Wills. Upon graduation, Ryann hopes to travel the world and dance professionally while sharing her love for dance and choreography with her students.
